Careeranista by Chaz Pitts-Kyser Book Review

Throughout high school and into college, I have always had my future career on my mind.  Gaining experience in the fashion industry through work and internships has always been important to me.  Recently, Chaz Pitts-Kyser contacted me about possibly reviewing this book on my blog.  I accepted and found Careeranista to be very interesting and helpful.  The book covers the job search process, how to look professional, work-life balance, and other great topics.  Even if you are still in high school or college, I would definitely recommend this book.

Goodbye 2013 and Hello 2014!

I've always said that 13 is my lucky number.  So I knew from the start that 2013 would be a great year. This year, I finally started this blog.  This has been something I have wanted to do for a long time.

I interned at Sacramento Fashion Week.  That was a great experience and was very rewarding.

I am still with my wonderful boyfriend.

I graduated high school!  I am now attending my first-choice college in Southern California.

I finally made the move to LA, which has been a lifelong dream.

I attended Teen Vogue Fashion U in NYC.

I traveled to NYC for the first time and it was a great adventure.

All in all, 2013 has been great.  I wish all of you a safe and happy New Year and I hope 2014 is the best year yet for all of us!

My Dorm Room!

I just moved on-campus at Cal Poly Pomona!  It took me a few days to get everything unpacked and set up but I love how it turned out.

I got the Sand & Sea painting from Homegoods and I framed the fashion collages I made with Ikea frames.  All of my bedding and pillows are from Target.

I picked up the lamp from Target and lamp shade from Ikea.

I'm so happy there was a bookcase in my dorm!  I filled it with fashion books, magazines, DVDs, and some board games.

I got the photo collage frame from Target and the hexagon shaped boards from Kohl's.  I love having photos of friends in my room!

I bought an over-the-door shoe rack from Target but my door was too thick.  I took the hook off and used Command picture hanging tape to stick it to my wall.

I got a clothing rack for my dresses that rolls so I can move it easily.  It also has storage above and below for shoes and hats.

I put another blue lamp in the corner to add some light.

I love these storage boxes! They're great for storing jeans!
